O’Melveny Professional Portrait Sign-Up

Below is important information to ensure a successful portrait.

Safety: Please follow O’Melveny’s masking and social distancing protocols going to and from your photoshoot; you can remove your mask once you are in place and socially distanced from the photographer. Our photographer, Andrew Zinn, is vaccinated and will complete an O’Melveny daily self-check prior to his arrival.
Location: Please go to your office lobby reception area; from there you’ll be guided on where to meet the photographer. Each photo will be scheduled in 15 minute increments so we appreciate your on-time arrival to keep scheduling on track.
Attire: Dress as you would for a business meeting with a client.
Avoid wrinkled attire. Wrinkled or rumpled clothing will show in the photo and can be difficult to retouch out of the image.
Avoid wearing strongly patterned, striped or checked clothing. (Light stripes or subtle prints are fine as long as they coordinate with the outfit.)
Avoid white or very light colors, unless they are worn under a dark jacket / cardigan.
Avoid large pieces of jewelry.
Prior to your photo shoot, discuss any concerns about appearance with the photographer. The photographer will be able to advise on how the retouching process can help with hair, skin, shadows, discoloration, wrinkles etc.
If you normally wear glasses but prefer a portrait without them, discuss this with the photographer before he begins shooting.
Style your hair as you normally would for work.
Men can wear a tie. You may bring a selection for the photographer to suggest what photographs best. Bold ties which are solid in color or have simple patterns photograph best.
Straight collar shirts photograph better than button-down collars.
Men are encouraged to be clean shaven or to wear a tidy beard / facial hair.
If you wear makeup, you can wear the makeup you would normally wear.
You may want to bring makeup with you for last-minute touch-ups.
